Stony Pasture Al-pica-nics

Al-pica-nics

£10 per adult, £5 per child (~ 1.5 hours, April-October)

Join us for a gentle walk around the land to meet the Stony Pasture alpacas and goats. We will hand feed them and you can ask us any questions you may have.

Bring your picnic and soak up the beautiful surroundings.

Young Alpaca Farmer

(April-December in school holidays)

£15.00 per child. For a morning or afternoon session.

Our morning sessions begin with the ‘feed round’. Everyone helps feed the animals. We check they have water, hay and are all happy and healthy.

We grab a quick snack in the paddock, then have a job list to attend to such as brushing the goats, halter training, milking, paddock cleaning, stick collecting etc.

Once our jobs are done, we have an activity either centred around the firepit or making something to take home.

Sessions will run in most weathers.

Activities are tailored to the age of the group

Stony Pasture Party paddock

Party Paddock

Party Paddock hire is £60 for up to 10 children.

Plan a 90 minute outdoor party for your animal enthusiasts. You will have an additional 30 minutes before your party to set up and decorate. You will provide food, music and party games.

We will provide picnic tables, electric points for your music or any electrical appliances (chocolate fountains, bubble machines etc). There are hand washing facilities and a composting toilet on site.

As part of your party in the paddock we will meet and learn about some of the Stony Pasture animals.

Events are weather dependent and may need to be cancelled if high winds or torrential rain is forecast.
