After we lost our original pygmy, Bewley, we decided on no more pygmy goat and then we saw Princess. When we bought her we had no idea how utterly terrified she would be. It took her a very long time to settle. Even now and then she will eat something tasty that I hold out but in general, she bounces off into the distance and stands and watches from a distance.

We thought she might be pregnant but the vets could not find any signs. Then she got bigger and bigger, and it became obvious she would birth in winter. Much to her disgust, that meant she had to come into a shelter. In December she gave birth to one very huge boy called Zog. Zog is flighty like his mother but we are hopeful he will settle as he grows
