River

River is Skye’s second daughter. As usual, she grew her super fast with her super milk. River has recently been weaned and has started learning to walk on a headcollar.

Once Skye has had a rest and put on some condition, Skye and River will be reunited as members of the female herd.

River has a huge fleece. Again, not a fine fleece but the judging is starting to recognise that density is a preferred quality, provided the animal has a reasonable level of fineness. River might pop to a few shows in 2026. (We avoid the winter and spring shows with are youngsters to avoid any additional stress around weaning time.)
